The Time is Now for Stopping Asian Carp
In the land of 10,000 lakes, Governor Mark Dayton has drafted a plan, for Congress, to grant authority for emergency dam closures if Asian Carp are found downstream. A meeting held yesterday with a variety of representatives helped put together the plan as the issue of the invasive species is knocking on the door of Minnesota’s lakes and rivers.
Asian Carp have been a problem for several decades as they are spreading up the Mississippi river and it’s watersheds that will sustain it.
Damage caused by these fish could cause to be astronomical for the Great Lakes states. Everyone’s involvement and input
