Boat Travels from North America to Spain in 3 Years
I stumbled across this article today, by Becky Bratu at msnbc.com (full article), and found it pretty awesome.
Back in August of 2008, Scott Douglass, 58 was tested of his will to survive the mighty seas off the coast of Nantucket, Massachusetts. He and his brother-in-law were both flung from their boat, a 26 foot Regulator-“Queen Bee”, and made it to shore only to never see their boat again.
After 3 years since the waves removed them from their boat, they received a phone call from the U.S. Coast Guard that said their boat was found washed up on the Spanish coast.
The boat was found covered in barnacles and rust, but it somehow made the trip across the pond.
Pretty amazing that the boat withstood the everlasting beating that the Atlantic can give, and a real positive to the quality of the boat. Also, what are the stinkin’ chances?!?!
Good luck fish’n
